Interacting with Wabanaki-Maine History

  • 109 Perkins Street Castine, ME 04421 United States (map)

An Interactive, Shared Learning Experience

Castine History Partners is excited to welcome Wabanaki REACH for an interactive experience in which we engage in a story of particular events in the history of 400 years of colonization of Wabanaki people by Europeans in this territory now called the state of Maine. This highly engaging experience requires our full participation in order to genuinely increase our understanding of colonization and what it means for current descendants and future generations; to reflect on what story we are writing for our grandchildren.

Please note that this program is interactive and participants are asked to be fully present for the entirety. Participants will also be asked to take off their shoes or wear shoe covers.

If you are willing to volunteer as a primary reader during this program, please let us know on your registration.

This is an in-person, free learning opportunity, but registration is required.
