Indigenous Food Ways Potluck Lunch

  • Hutchins Education Center, 112 Perkins Street Castine, ME 04421 United States (map)

We will be gathering to think about the ways our foods travel the world and find ways to our plates. This is our first meal together; hopefully we will continue in the future. Julia Gray, the Executive Director of Wilson Museum, will share stories of ways the museum archives relate to the foods we have chosen for this event.

Co-Sponsored by The Castine Arts Association and the Wilson Museum.

Please bring a dish to share inspired by one of the following locations:

  • Maine: Blueberries; corn, beans, squash; fish

  • France: Buckwheat, millet, oats; cabbage, chard, carrots; lamb, mutton, goat, pork

  • Peru/Bolivia: Quinoa; corn, potatoes; ceviche

Please Identify known allergens in pot luck dish if there are any: peanuts/tree nuts, gluten, shellfish, dairy.
