Experience the unforgettable taste of fresh bread from our harborside bake oven

Sharing food is a multi-sensory way to connect with history and one another. To share a sense of community, we’re hosting a Community Picnic for Castine and the surrounding towns. The community is invited to bring a friend and a picnic lunch to enjoy along our harborside grounds. We’ll have crispy bread fresh from the bake oven and savory, slow-roasted beans from the bean-hole for guests to sample. Kids and pets are welcome!

Attendees can also delight in free ice cream from the Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause ice cream truck. Cash and check donations will be welcomed to support programming at the Wilson Museum.

Original and reinterpreted Jazz/R&B/Blues/Fusion/Rock will be performed by Scott Cleveland as a solo pianist and singer. Copies of Scott’s solo piano albums, one of which was recorded in Castine, will be available for purchase with 50% of the proceeds going to benefit the Wilson Museum’s programming.

The museum’s standard family-friendly Living History program will be offered following the picnic from 2 to 5 pm.

We look forward to sharing community with you!
